I was poking about the plugin page – particularly looking to see if Horizontal Archive Menu had returned (nope) – and...
Plugins is an area that particularly interests me but the thought behind this post also relates to Themes but... plugins first.

There are about 200 plugins listed and it is roughly chronological. The list is growing and, especially for a new user, it might be a bit overwhelming, even off putting.

I put it to AI and asked for an analysis.
By year there are 'plugins added':
2018 — 8
2019 — 15
2020 — 21
2021 — 12
2022 — 18
2023 — 14
2024 — 20
2025 — 25
2026 — 30 and counting
The numbers are increasing.

I suggested to AI that perhaps a menuing system might be useful. The headings suggested were:
Content | Media | SEO | Communication | Security | Admin | Technical | Commerce

It gave a list of plugins under each of those heading but I set that aside for now.

It also suggested a possible "What do you want to do?" approach...

✍️ Create & manage content?
🖼️ Add images, galleries & video?
🔎 Improve search, navigation & SEO?
💬 Add comments, forms & newsletters?
🔐 Protect & control access to my site?
⚙️ Manage, backup & maintain Bludit?
📊 Statistics, performance & developer tools?
🛒 Sell, accept donations & connect services?

I have no idea how the future of Bludit is imagined but I presume that growth is preferred to stagnation or decline. The forum readership is impressive but 1300 members is not large – and the level of (visible) participation is poor. Looking at the member list the number of posts for 2026 members is commonly '0' – maybe '1'. There is a certain 'stillness' to the forum.

And how easy was it to say all that? Relatively.
But, the doing...
I have (some) time and would be happy – subject to discussion and definition – to give some to this.

A random click-about shows that "Domain Migrator" by Diego is a 'Page not found'.
Are all links active?
Are the download files available?
Do the plugins activate? Is it clear how the plugin works? Do they work? [quite a job there; 1x1]
I imagine the plugins page is built off the github repository list so... it should be *relatively* easy to load into a menu — of some sort of system. But plugins would need to be tagged – by author or other?

Does this interest anyone? Admin? Tasks can be defined and divided.

Just a few thoughts.
And yours?

cheers – Kusalo
