Lately I worked on loading speed optimization using tools offered by Google, and I realized that a lot of non-native plugins were slowing down the process, some even causing blockages. So I had to drop some of them, including Snicker comments (too bad, it was working well). I also realized that some TinyMCE own plugins created problem. Bottom line: to optimize Web access, it is better to drop as many plugins as possible. But I still use 14 plugins (see screenshot attached below). Among them Caroussel Creator from Multicolor is crucial for my courses pages (to present my power point slides).

I also realized that using lazy load for images was not recommended by Google tools.

If I could change main functionalities on this platform I would:

• Avoid saving crucial info of the pages in a single file called pages.php. This was addressed in a few posts here. It puts the whole site at risk in case of corruption. And when pages.php gets large, it takes more time to load for edition and save one single page.

• Avoid saving images in subdirectories of the Upload folder using keys instead of page names. It makes it very fastidious to do bulk work on images (I had to change png to webp lately).

To adapt my code I use:

• Simple Client (ftp), in conjunction with

• Visual Studio Code - some add ons make it easy to work with php, css, js and json files - easily switching between beautify (to be able to edit it) and minify the code.

I am grateful to the Bludit team and the plugin developers who worked on this platform. Using the Flat file concept makes a huge difference to simplify Web site development. So thank you!

I completely reworked and customized the theme you were using because its performance was so poor. Bludit, and the pages created with it, work well if you avoid using additional external resources. No Google Fonts, no external sources.

I integrated Snickers, but I also completely reworked it because the available version, even the updated one, had several vulnerabilities. Among other things, the standard version of Snickers leaked the admin login link. I circumvented this with a proxy, since I don't use the original link.

I cannot update Beckathlon since I made so many changes. It works well for me the way it is.

The spam filter must have kicked in, that's why you're getting a "Forbidden" message. There are always bots and other content thieves at work. If you send me a private message with your IP range, I can check if it's blocked.

I don't think the theme is getting any more updates, so you have to take matters into your own hands and customize it yourself. I'm in the same boat. I'm considering releasing a new version of Blekathlon with all the customizations.

Yes, I'm talking about Snicker Plus. Among other things, it now has a CAPTCHA. It all runs locally without Google or anything like that.

Have access to your site now. Nice! (my own spam filter catch about 20 bad bots a day - among them a lot from .br lately).

Yes I installed and activated Snicker plus. Works well and does not impact much the performance of the site. Thanks!

Added note: In the admin panel, if I chose to edit the comment and update, it saves the change but (in my case) I end up on a blank page, so I have to return. Not a big deal though.
