First off, let me declare that I really like Bludit, and this isn't just another rant.

One more annoyance, at least for me, is that there isn't any option to set a default category for new posts. I always have to remember to set the category before publishing, even if I very often use the same category.

Anyone else?

Is it the current strategy to implement such (core-)extensions as plugins?
For now, I've implemented it directly into my bludit installation.

At the moment there is no further development of Bludit. The updates are bug fixes, updates of the code for new PHP versions, of scripts and of plugins that are part of the Bludit package.

OK, thanks. Good to know. Then I'll rewrite my stuff as plugins.

Is there any interest in someone assisting with bug fixing and further development?

It would be a shame if Bludit was "put to pasture".
