Looking at the popeye theme, in page.php, I see that Theme::plugins('pageBegin'); is called after some HTML has been output.
To me, the wording "pageBegin" would indicate something that should be called at the beginning of the page, but I guess I understand that incorrectly?

Yes, I've read that. But the "Notes" column on that page could use some more detail, IMHO.
Like "Should be placed before POST content", "Should be placed after POST content". And possibly: "If you are listing several POSTS on a single page, like home.php, this hook should be called for each item".
