Manage users - Users – admin – Nickname: admin.
„The nickname is almost used in the themes to display the author of the content“

I changed my nickname in the settings, but the author of the articles is still "admin", even for newly created ones (after changing the nickname). :?

Yes, because the name of the person who created the article is stored in pages.php. You can modify pages.php at your own risk.

Make backups first!

But how is it possible that after I changed my nickname, the author is still "admin"?

Now I tried to create a new page, and in the page editing - Options - Advanced - the Author is still "admin" - which is fixed there, it cannot be changed.

Is your username "admin," or is it a different account with a different name? I never use "admin"; instead, I created another account with my preferred name and granted it admin privileges. I post using that account, and that name—or the one specified in the "nickname" field—appears.

Only one account, which is admin. And I changed the admin nickname afterwards, but nothing happened, as I describe above.

In that case, please create another account - even just with Author privileges - and try again with a test article. That should work.

But I would prefer it to work as it should...

Hi,

I think this is Theme-related "issue".

If your theme is using

Code: Select all

$page->user('username')
then replace it using

Code: Select all

$page->user('nickname')
Hope this helps.

Depends on the theme.

You may try page.php and home.php in yourtheme/php/

If problem still persists then try other files inside that php directory.
