What happen, if you don't copy the layout files into your theme, so the plugin loads the default layout?

btw. do you use the last update? This was released 3 days ago.

OK: I deleted the layout files from my layout folder. I once wrote print_r(getPlugin($className)); to the place where the gallery should be output. You can see it is the current version: https://made4web.de/veyon/welcome#photos

But already echo "Pluginlabel: ".$plugin->label(); remains empty.

When I look into my other installation (https://mein-hausboot-werder.de/havel-revier) of the plugin, I see in "/bl-content/imagegallery/gallery-name/chache" a file called files.php.

In the installation with the error: https://made4web.de/veyon/welcome#photos there are folders "large" and "thumb" but no file. Why is there no file here? I have compared the folder permissions, there are no differences.
