Byte order mark while using custom fields.

I'm getting %EF%BB%BF added to the end of my custom fields. Looks like a mixup in page encoding via the admin panel. I'm using MAMP, is there a setting I need to switch on/off for this to go away or do we need to force Bludit to save the file correctly?
