Formatting for page date?

Hi alls;
in the themes, I usually see something like ...
echo $page->date()
.. for rendering the page date. However, on my system this is always just a date. Where can I change this setting to also include hours and minutes (and maybe re-arrange the order of fields too)?

You can set this at "Settings" > "General" > "Language".
