Hello,
first let me say "Thank you" for the great work. We love Open Source and love to support and contribute to valuable projects like Bludit. At the moment we are using Get Simple as flatfile cms for our customer projects, but we are preparing to switch them to Bludit. One of the things we are missing is nested categories and the possibility to sort them manually.
We modified the core to add a parent category and allow to add a sort order to parent and child categories. In the backend the categories are displayed in the set order with additional infos. In the frontend only parent categories are displayed in the topmenu, the sidebar plugin shows parent categories with their child categories in their given order.
At the moment only second level categories are supported. Here you can see some screenshots:
Because we are evaluating Bludit only since three weeks it will be nice to get some feedback and help from the community. If anybody can answer this questions it would be very helpful:
We like to replace the text input field for parent category with a dropdown. How can we parse the created categories and display them as a dropdown in the backend?
Best regards, Jürgen

Hi there, it's not only a plugin. For that we have changed some of the core files. But there will be something new in January... I will keep you informed.
