HitCounter Plugin doesn't list at all

Hello there,
maybe it is a silly question, but how come, after copying HitCounter plugin folder in the /bt-plugins/ folder doesn't it show at all in in the plugin list?
I'm using BlogMe theme, but changin it doesn't seem to affect the behaviour.
Is there any issue abt that? Other Plugins (ex. Contact) work.

I'd try to be more detailed, but also have nothing to focus about: simply installation in main root, everything works fine and it's great, simply Hitcounter doesn't work neither i can find a place to install a simple Statcounter instead.
