Why? It's Diego who develops Bludit. it's his cycle...
And Bludit is free... This means there is no company who pays for updates every few weeks.
There are also other flat file systems that have no relase cycle because they are simple and stable. This is a big advantage of all this systems: They need no updates that are crashing websites, themes and plugins all the time.
By the way, there is the possibiility to donate for the development of Bludit:

I think Edi is not mad, but it's right in his comment about the release cycle.
Bludit has 1 year old (I push the first README file on github on March), it's recently new, there are a few users helping with the code and issues, for the moment the release cycle it's not possible, but in the future maybe will be a good idea.
