Hi,

any ideas how to set the content for category subpages to "order by position" with the rest of the site using "order by date"? That would be awesome!

The normal setting is this case would be default content ordered by date and static content, which is ordered by position.

If you want for example static content ordered by date and position you can give the content a date which shows it like ordered by position.
