Hello there
I was a bit lazy blogging and had my last entry back in September 2019.
After a while and upgrading to the last version of Bludit Pro I tried to add new content or edit existing content. But this is not possible.
The new content window is shown, I can insert a title and some text, but the hitting «Preview» or «Save» doesn't do anything.
I don't see any useful error in the server logs.

Bludit is running on a Ubuntu 18.04 LTS with Apache2 and PHP 7.2

Have you changed the server setup since you last posted, or installed another server in the meantime?
Sounds like you do not have the necessary rights to write to the server.

Just the usual security updates for the linux server (kernel, packages et al). This should not break my installation.
Sounds like you do not have the necessary rights to write to the server.
I double checked, the files are owned by www-data.www-data. Also, I was able to activate plugins and to modify the settings, like the footer text of the blog. I was able to add and delete categories. Seems like the buttons «Save» and «Preview» are not working. Strange…

Okay, but that the owner is www data does not necessarily mean everything is as it should be, because in the end it is about which user and group the server is running under and who has the necessary rights to the directory that is used to have the read/write rights of the Bludit installation.
But since it has worked and you have not changed anything, it is probably not the rights it is wrong with.
So i have no idea what could be wrong, unfortunately :)

The use of Ubuntu seems to be a little tricky. There is some information:

Thank you, but bludit itself works fine.
the website works and according to the dashboard there were 10 visits and 99 sites access today. I am able to login as admin and I can create categories and change other stuff.

I am just unable to add new content or to edit existing content.
It seems like to buttons for save and preview are not working. If I hit them, nothing happens. No error, no nothing.

It seems that there is a JavaScript error. What says the browser console? Which plugins or scripts are installed?

Thank you, tried Safari, Chrome and FF, all on Mac OS X.

JavaScript error, how obvious.

Console says:
TypeError: tinymce.get(...) is null

Strange TinyMCE must be part of Bludit Itself, I don't remember to install it (or update).

TinyMCE comes with Bludit.

All plugins v3.12.0 should be fine.

Perhaps there is a conflict with another plugin. Perhaps Snicker 0.1.2. Please disable it to test it. And please do not forget to make a backup of the installation (or the file of the plugin in the directory /bl-content/databases/plugins) to restore after you enabled it again.

Thank you, was lazy blogging and had other projects.

(fourth edit, sorry for that)

I deactivated snicker, but the problem resists.
Deactived also all plugins *not* bludit 3.13.1 (but not TinyMCE)
The problem resists.
Found, the Javascript error was thrown by TinyMCE (Failed to initialize the editor as the document is not in standards mode. TinyMCE requires standards mode.).
Deactivated TinyMCE, the problem was gone.
Reactivated TinyMCE, still could edit sites, but Lightbox acted strange.
Found a newer version of Lightbox and installed, everything is now ok.

(still your "Posts by month" are saying, it's 1.0, but should be 1.2). ;-)
