:| No Diego, no Bludit. This error on date reset is really annoying so I decided to move on WordPress. Moreover I need some functions for users that don't exist in bludit. In the future releases I will try to update language packs.

@kaaleth I can understand your frustration.

But without reporting exactly what you think is a bug the problem cannot be resolved. This does not depend on Bludit, WordPress or whatever Open Source project. Users have to help each other. And yes, they are free. But this also means that there is a lot of unpaid work. And a break of this work is fair.

Beside this, if you use an advanced user management Bludit is not th right choice for you. But also WordPress isn't it. You can use a lot of plugins for roles, rights and so on. But WordPress was a blog software and still is in it's core. I would prefer Joomla or Drupal.

Diego is not present because he is just back from holiday and moved into a new apartment, so it has not yet time for the project.

As Edi said, can tell you exactly met the bug and in what context?

Patient he will soon come back ;)

I just mean bug that we are talking about (this topic). I have 3 users that write articles for my website. Sometimes, when I visit my website I can see all of the post in random position. Why? Because there is strange bug with dates. Sometimes I have no time to visit my website and send backup again and again so this makes my website so messy. Moreover, Bludit has no permissions for users. For example, Editor role can simply delete all of your articles what is really dangerous. No search, no categories... This product is great for personal blog, not for huge website, so this is the reason why I moved to WordPress ;) . Bludit needs to be fixed and it will take a lot of time when it comes as a stable software. I really like Bludit, it's small, fast and simply. I love its responsive backstage etc. but for now it's sadly not for me. Of course, I am going to stay here and observe this project. Thanks :)

Yes Bludit is young for the moment, but if you want a big project, Bludit or any other flat-files project do not agree indeed.

As Fred mentioned flat file systems are not for huge projects. In reverse: It very often makes no sense to use a CMS like WordPress for a project because there is a large overhead and a lot of maintenance to do. I use both, Bludit and WordPress, depending of the requirements.

At the moment I have some theories why data are lost in some cases:
  • There are modifications that cause errors.
  • There is a problem with the server environment, for example the storing of session data.
  • There are attacks to a website breaking the execution of a script.
As I stated before, till now I never encountered the reported problems or was able to reproduce them in different environments.

OK, happened again... uploaded my backup and was in good shape in minutes.

Here is the site when it was broken if you want to inspect it:

I have yet seen it yesterday... I will inspect the installation. But it seems to be the same error (same lines in the script).

With Version "Bludit 0.7.2, stable" no problems for 3 months.
And then the big bang: All dates on 02.04.2016 (german date).
Holy moly, no idea why. :?

I was able to fix the timestamps (not the problem!) with the backup-plugin.

So the plugin save my a..! At the moment everything is ok on http://www.notiert.ch
