i just installed bludit in a subfolder and it works fine. But i want to install it in the main root. problem is: i already have a file called index.php. so i want the index.php of bludit rename to news.php

How can i do that with a fresh new install?

I have never tried it. Anyway, it's not a good practice to have two or more installations in the same directory. There could be conflicts etc.

But i do not have 2 installations. I have already a file called index.php in my httpdocs folder.
Bludit has also a file called index.php . This is the conflict. I want to rename index.php from Bludit to news.php. How can i simply rename it without having path issues?

Why two files index.php? Why not rename the other one? ;-)

You never should rename files of the core.
