What does "Reading time" mean?

It's a feature, that a lot of blogs use. It's explained in the Changelog:
Reading time, returns the number of minutes takes to read a page.

Yes I did so after that I noticed this function... also tried to stay on page some time but the reading time is still the same as before (~1 minute). This is why I asked, because I was thinking it works in other way. In this case I don't care because I put Bludit on localhost (maybe that's why). I will try to install it on real webhost.
Kaaleth is calculating base the number of words on the page, indicate an estimated amount of time in minutes to read the article.
~1 minute = means, takes approximately 1 minute to read the article.
