lodria wrote: Wed Jul 22, 2020 7:29 am Here the classic home page is set: https://lucy-racquel-and-me.com/, I want to set this as my blog page.
I already have a static page set as my home page. How can I call this page if I have already called a static page as the first page? Can it be set as a link? What is the link to the original home page? Both are the same, portfolio themes.
Sorry for the bad English.

Hi!

Unfortunately, this is not the problem. What you both wrote is good and understandable. Now if you look at the page http://apcool.nhely.hu/portfolio, you can see what I want to open under the blog name. The link http://apcool.nhely.hu/portfolio/ap, if I set it as the first page, I don't know what link I will reach now.

I want to swap the two links.

index.php - http://apcool.nhely.hu/portfolio/ap
blog.php - http://apcool.nhely.hu/portfolio/

It would be nice if someone could say a good idea.
Thanks.

I understand your question. Do as you were told in the last message and that will take care of setting portfolio/ap as your home page. Then, enable the Links plugin and setup your links. Create a blog link and link it to the portfolio.

In these themes(portfolio), the links plugin doesn't seem to work. Isn't this good only for sidebar themes?

Edi! After all, what good are predefined pages if you can't set the original home page as a category?

That's another thing. You can add also the mainpage to a category.

But when I set up a predefined page, the link to the original first page changes. So that's exactly what I can't set. In my case, what is the link?

Perhaps what you mean is a blog page beside the mainpage.

You can use any page as blog page, for example a page with the title "Blog" (because there is a bug at the moment only a page with this title can be used). The blog page is set in the settings at "General" > "Advanced" in the section "URL filters" in the field Blog (by defaut /blog/).

This mean, that you can have
  • a static page as mainpage,
  • a blog page, that shows your postings.

Maybe it would be easier if you let Edi login to your site and do the changes needed for you.
