The Contact plugin does not work in Bludit 3 beta, and my programming skills are too weak to fix it. Could anybody help, or is the developer of this plugin perhaps already working on a version vor Bludit 3?

Should be a part of the core system, not a plugin IMHO

Here is a quick fix of the contact plugin for Bludit 3.

The new SMTP function from the last contact plugin version is currently not included.

Please test yourself if it works for your environment.

I did remove the file, because of a new version: viewtopic.php?p=5655#p5655

I totally agree! A modern CMS should have a contact form as part of the core.

I did rewrite the plugin. It includes the smtp support, use new linbaries and I added some small security improvents.

I renamed it, because its a complete rewrite and the template has some small changes.

You should remove the old contact plugin, because currently bludit don't ignore the language files from inactive plugins.

Shortly before you edited your post and offered the rewritten plugin, I had installed your first version, and I can confirm that it works. Anyway, I will test your Contact3, too. Thanks for all your work!

@novafacile: There seems to be a bug. If the sender’s email address has dashes (like my-name@super-isp.com), they are not shown in the received email. Underscores and dots work.
