Re: SOLVED - Problem activating theme on a local server

I'm running this locally on macOS Monterey. My production web server is running Linux. I'm running it locally while I work on finalising my configuration, and tweak the theme. That allows me to make the changes and quickly see the result. If I was making the changes on my Macbook, then uploading and...

Re: Problem activating theme on a local server

 I managed to solve my problem by renaming the `tagg-1.1` directory to `tagg`. I had copied the zip file into my Bludit installation's `bl-themes` directory, and extracted it in the same directory. That created a `tagg-1.1` directory, and Bludit detected it OK. However, when I tried to activat...

Re: Problem activating theme on a local server

After further testing I confirmed I can active both the Blog X and Alternative themes. They were provided with Bludit itself, so I'd expect that. I can't understand why I can't activate the Tagg theme.

SOLVED - Problem activating theme on a local server

I have extracted Bludit 3 to a local directory and am testing it locally using the "PHP built-in web server instructions [1]. The setup launched straight away, and I set the admin user's name and password OK. I want to use the Tagg theme, so I then extracted it to the `themes` directory. I then...

Help needed moving social media icons in the Tagg theme

I like the Tagg theme because it looks very clean and simple. However, I would like to move the social media icons to the sidebar, and add a link to an About page. What's the best way of doing that?

Re: Should I be concerned that most plugins and themes are not confirmed compatible?

OK - I just selected each theme, in turn, and all of them worked. I think we can ignore my earlier message. It almost certainly was NOT the fault of Bludit.

Re: Should I be concerned that most plugins and themes are not confirmed compatible?

Thank you for all replies. Edi - I will test again and find which theme it was that caused issues.

Re: How do I... remove elements of a theme?

Thanks to everyone who responded with help. I'm still trying to decide on a single Bludit theme. :) At least I know understand some of the implications of changing a theme.

Should I be concerned that most plugins and themes are not confirmed compatible?

I have successfully installed Bludit 1.6.2, and for the moment am running the Striped theme. When in the admin panel I navigate to the list of available plugins and themes, all are marked with a warning that they may not be compatible with this version. Is this something I should be concerned about?...

Re: How do I... remove elements of a theme?

Thanks for your help. I hadn't realised that the About information was provided by the About plugin. I have since disabled that plugin and the sidebar looks less cluttered.

I haven't yet looked at the other issues, but will do soon.
